R.I.P. ~ Jean Moebius Giraud

Thanks danman, I hadn't heard the news before i saw your comment and link to the news.

Like many others, have have many fond memories of Mobius, how his work affected my life.

But for now, out of respect, i'll just let these few images speak for themselves.

#3 is so striking and rather different from the style I'm used to seeing from him.

Yeah danman, i was thinking the same thing about that 3rd painting. Such different textures.

Yes, beautiful, and a creative genius. I always felt a special connection to his work, and was lucky enough to met him briefly at a comic con. I have a couple of Moebius stories, almost worked on a project with him that never happened.

Derek, that's funny you say that. I don't remember it, but since i've seen almost all of his work, i can't believe it wasn't in the back of my mind somewhere.. i mean, i picked it off of google myself, didn't i? Interesting.

okay. will back to posting my crap this week.

Damn that freaking sucks. I loved all the sex that he put into his material and the silver surfer comic. Sorry to see him go and I hope he's drawing lots of naked women in the great beyond.

Just read Arkham Asylum Madness and tossed it in the bin. Did you put any effort whatsoever into that piece of shit? It didn't feel like it.
