Something else?

Here's something just to relieve stress.

Maybe it's an outback critter...

.. or something else?

either way, below is the same drawing, but i've darkened the three trunk.

Here's a side by side, the before trunk and after.

Which do you like best?

Good call on the darkening. I like right best.

The second one, of course.
Nice touches on the mini-tree

The darker tree looks better to me because it feels like it separates the critter and the tree tonally.

Love the Outback critter :)
The darkened tree is definitely an upgrade for the scenery.

after. The before tree looks unfinished in comparison.

I like them both. The first cause the colors pop, the second cause of the contrast & detail. I got my Sandman Remarqued in & it looks amazing. How many did you make? I thought there were only going to be 10 but mine is marked as 11/30. Just making sure it wasn't a mistake. Thanks!

Darkened for sure sam! Love your stuff!

I like the darkened tree trunk better. I did not even realize that it was not just part of the critter in the first one.

I liked the lighter. Could use some oranges and light browns. Warmer, tones of hope.

Hey. I hope you see this. I wanted to talk to you about some of your work I saw when I was a little girl. It's *still* my favorite comic series and it means a lot to me. Please shoot me an email if you have the time... I'd really appreciate it.

I realize it is probably incredibly tacky to reach out to you in this manner, but I've wanted to have a conversation with you for about 10 years now.

Due to the recent success of Deadpool ... has there been a renewed interest from studios in The Maxx? I should immediately clarify that I do NOT consider The Maxx a "superhero" but I know how film studios think. To me, The Maxx is about a girl with a lot of pain inside and how she copes with it. That's the only version of the film I'm interested in seeing.

As someone who is constantly defined by something he did ten years ago, I know that you are not solely defined by The Maxx. However, it's still an incredibly inspiring piece of art and means so much to so many people.

I came close several times to pulling a Robert Rodriguez/Sin City and just shooting a few scenes as a proof of concept, but my perfect Julie ended up leaving LA.

Basically, if the rights are locked up by someone, it would be good to know.

Thanks in advance, and sincerely,
-Dylan
