No worries, tomorrow I'll be back with yet another Maxx post.
Meanwhile, having nothing. to do with that, two trees react very differently.
. . through 'fields' of people.
This one's little awkward with Maxx's arm behind his leg.
Julie Splash page . . .
. . and a bonus Fashion page.
Maxx avoids a net . . .
These get rarer as my productivity slows down, so i try to make up for it by doing a better job on the covers/pin-ups I actually do finish.
This one gets a little abstract, clock gears and feathers, but I think that's okay.
Sometimes it worked, sometimes not.
I'm normally too lazy to do this, but every once in awhile you gotta buckle down and draw backgrounds with people walking around.
This, was such a time.
. . in a dumpster. Sometimes my crazy panel borders are more interesting than the drawing itself.
Somewhere along the line the Leopard Queen became the Jungle Queen, probably because I got bored with drawing realistic Leopards like this . . .
. . and instead drew them abstractly, like this . . .
3 more process pics of this Maxx Cover.
Double Page Spread.
. . little old ladies?
I hate it when that happens.
I've decided to post more of my fav Maxx pannels and pull back on the Tree and Fashion stuff for a while.
I probably should have made the background inks darker in a few spots, . . . but whatever.
My main focus was on Maxx and Gone.
My humble tribute to french fashion illustrator Rene Gurau, ( yes I know I miss spelled it, but so does nearly everyone else online. )
I've posted this unpublished Maxx splash before, but I've since added a mossy tree trunk on the lower left.
Didn't get much sleep last night, so I decided to post just one plant today, but hopefully something calm and soothing.
