. . . another Outback Tree

Sorry, odds are i *have* posted this sucker before,

but i really kinda dig how this tree extends beyond the square.

Also like the freaky little worm-dude hanging on the branch.

These two again..

Cover from the old Maxx wildstorm collection.

Another one that probably looks better in black and white.

Last Dino cover..

Obviously a humble nod to the famous Frazetta mammoth cover.

Asian woman from Hollows.

Sometimes it's the things you don't draw,

that have their own things to say.

Boring panel of guy on train,

so i tried to at least give him an interesting face.

Outback Tree...

in this case,

looks a lot like my usual trees.

Another Nemesis Cover

Another one of these covers.  During my "classic" phase.

I have a project in mind that i'd like to draw in this style,  might be cool - just for nostalgia's sake.

But better hurry up, before my ability to make "little lines" disappears altogether. ; )

Early artwork

Changes in rough pencil vs. inked version, from the old Wandering Star comic.

Deconstructing Deena:

Deena, in an old Maxx sketchbook page,

who's b&w stripped shirt, wound up on Annie from Ojo,

and who's headphones wound up going to Magen, the Library Girl from Soccer Queen,

and Deena's name . . . eventually morphed into Dana from the Trout-a-verse.

Eleanor Baddie.

A change from my Hollow's style, thanks to Ronda Pattison's wonderful colors.

is this villain from Eleanor who has more of an animation look.

Kinda spooky, but in a goofy playful way.

Unlike Aliens, the Hollows was about avoiding detail and trying for a more wistful, sad and haunting mood.

The flying man is wounded, so the Kanji symbol for hurt appears, followed by the hopeful figure of Urp.
