Spongy & Sizzy . . . and Blanky.

Spongy & Sizzy and Blanky are three 'tools' which Nola uses.

Sadly, I haven't finished  drawing Blanky yet.

Hollows Cover

The Hollows started out as a horror book, but along with Chris Ryall's help, somehow it became more of a fantasy with a softer edge, both in both story and art.

I used a less slick and detailed style, and went for a rougher, simplier 'children's book' style of illustration.

It's not for everybody, but I enjoyed it.

In the spirit of BatMaxx series,

Here's a page from Batman secrets. This was the first Batman series I drew, and along with Batman Looking glass, among my favorite Batman work.

But don't worry,  I still have plenty of Maxx idea's left in me though.

The logo...

. . may be my favorite thing about this cover.

Anyway, at least tried to do something semi-abstract.

Secret Page

This Batman-Maxx series made me dig out some old Batman: Secrets pages.  And yeah, in case your wondering.. the color panel in the corner - is hand-painted.

Hand-Coloring this one...

Every once in a while, you've got to color a panel . .

. . the only snag is, the publisher expects you to actually finish it.

One of the less sucky looking Maxx cover.

I had a few clunkers on these IDW Maxx covers,

but I don't think this one turned out so bad.
